Bella Vie Gentle Birth Center is seeking 2 apprentices.

•Candidates should be reliable, resourceful, mature, thoughtful, and dedicated;

•They should be hard workers that are clear about wanting to be a part of a fast paced midwifery practice with multiple midwives that take the time to nurture women and their families;

•They should be clear that we desire positive relations and a family feel within our staff;

•They must be able to live an "on-call" lifestyle;

•They must be available 3 days in the clinic assisting with prenatal appointments and birth center tasks as well as additional time in attendance of births and postpartum care;

•They must live within 30 minutes drive from the birth center;

•They should be good communicators that get along with others easily (even when they are tired ;)

•They will need to have significant midwifery knowledge and the eagerness to learn more;

•They will be given plenty of opportunities to have hands on experience and their questions answered;

•They will be given chart review time with a midwife and the other students monthly;

•There is no charge or pay for this apprenticeship, and it needs to be understood that an apprenticeship is an exchange; an opportunity for education and experience.
